1. Performance and Wear
Remapping your vehicle's engine involves modifying its factory software to alter performance characteristics. While these modifications can lead to increased horsepower, torque, and potentially improved fuel efficiency, they may also increase stress on engine components, potentially accelerating wear and tear. Marks Mobile Remapping is not liable for any long-term damage or premature wear to your vehicle's engine or other components that may occur as a result of remapping.
2. Manufacturer Warranty
It is highly probable that remapping your vehicle will void your manufacturer's warranty. Most vehicle manufacturers do not permit unauthorized modifications to their engine control units (ECUs). Any warranty claims for issues that may arise after remapping will likely be denied by the manufacturer. Marks Mobile Remapping is not responsible for the voiding of your vehicle's warranty.
3. Insurance Implications
You are solely responsible for informing your insurance provider about any modifications made to your vehicle, including engine remapping. Failure to disclose such modifications could invalidate your insurance policy, leaving you uninsured in the event of an accident. Marks Mobile Remapping accepts no liability for any insurance-related issues arising from undisclosed modifications.
4. Legality and Emissions
It is your responsibility to ensure that your remapped vehicle complies with all local and national laws and regulations regarding vehicle emissions and roadworthiness. Remapping may alter your vehicle's emissions profile, and it is possible that it may no longer meet original emissions standards. Marks Mobile Remapping is not responsible for any fines, penalties, or legal actions resulting from non-compliance with these regulations.
5. Off-Road Use
Some remapping services are intended for off-road or motorsports use only and may not be legal for use on public roads. It is your responsibility to understand and adhere to the intended use of any remapping service you select.
6. Existing Vehicle Condition
Our remapping services are performed on the assumption that your vehicle is in good mechanical condition. Any pre-existing mechanical issues may be exacerbated by the increased stresses of remapping. We recommend addressing any known issues before remapping. Marks Mobile Remapping is not responsible for any damage caused by remapping a vehicle with pre-existing mechanical faults. Pre-remap diagnostics are at an additional cost.
7. No Guarantees
While we strive to provide high-quality remapping services and optimize your vehicle's performance, we cannot guarantee specific performance gains, fuel efficiency improvements, or the longevity of your vehicle's components after remapping. Individual results may vary depending on the vehicle's condition, maintenance, and driving style. We offer no warranty on any mechanical or electrical parts, wires or sensors. The remap is carried out at owners’ risk and consent. You understand the potential risks involved with remapping and are happy to proceed.
